Coordenador de Planeamento e Preparação de Obra (m/f)

Job Opportunity:

Candidate Profile:

Secondary education, Technical Higher Professional Course (CTeSP) and/or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (preferred); 

Specialised technical training may be considered if combined with relevant professional experience;

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in construction, planning, project preparation or estimating roles;

Experience interpreting technical drawings/projects and carrying out measurements (an advantage);

Solid knowledge of construction planning and operational control;

Advanced Excel skills; Knowledge of MS Project, AutoCAD, BIM and construction management ERP systems (an advantage);

Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and accuracy; Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities;

Good communication skills and ability to coordinate between technical and operational teams;

Autonomy, proactive attitude and results-oriented approach.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare construction project schedules, defining timelines, execution phases, resources and critical paths; 

Coordinate architectural and engineering projects, identifying inconsistencies, omissions and technical risks;

Validate measurements, quantities and technical assumptions before construction begins;

Prepare project documentation, including technical documentation, material lists and mobilisation plans;

Act as the interface with the Estimating Department, clarifying queries and adjusting quantities;

Define purchasing and subcontracting requirements in collaboration with the Procurement Department;

Carry out risk assessments and propose preventive measures to minimise impacts on project execution;

Ensure the handover of project documentation to the Site Manager(s), providing all documentation and information required to start the works;

Support the initial phase of construction projects, ensuring alignment between the various departments involved;

Contribute to the continuous improvement of construction planning and preparation processes.
